(Had a busy weekend, playing a little catch-up this week.)
The Wire really seems to follow, scene by scene, the famous Just King Things metaphor of Babe Ruth alternately hitting homers and whacking himself in the nuts. This episode, where the titular wiretap comes together, was pretty much only homers; if the show did this consistently it would be unmatched.
