Monkey Business | Cowboy Bebop E3&E4 | Dudes Daily
Through the third episode, the show continued to feel like a bit of a chore to get through. I think part of the issue is around stakes - specific amounts of money and bounties make up a lot of the dialogue, but there's no real sense of financial pressure, and no reason to think any episode's bounty will actually materialize.
The fourth episode finally caught me in a way the first three hadn't. Not sure why exactly, but the storytelling started to click. Adding Faye to the crew gives a little more interest to the character dynamics. Ein needs more to do, though.
